The girl who stole my book: How Eilis O'Hanlon found out her crime novels were swiped by a stranger

There was something strangely familiar about the crime novel riding high on the Amazon Kindle bestseller lists last autumn. Eilis O'Hanlon ought to know. She'd co-written it almost 13 years earlier. The only problem was that someone else was now claiming to be the author.

The world of publishing moves slowly

Two years ago I sent a short story out to several publications and it was eventually picked up by Bridge House Publishing last Summer and published in their xmas 2015 annual anthology. I've just received an email from an editor in the US keen to take the story! I've obviously had to send a polite reply explaining the piece's unavailability.
I know how manically busy editors get, but that's one hell of an inbox backlog.

Please check out the trailer for 'A NEW MENACE': Nominated for 2016 People's Prize Award

From book to TV or film?

I've just completed an on-line introduction into screenwriting by the University of East Anglia, as the link to my digital certificate demonstrates:

I've just got to either, adapt one of my novels, or write an original screenplay. Oh, and then find a television production company and a producer whom might be interested - in between writing my novels that is - so no pressure there then.
I'm chuffed to see that 'By Their Rules' is not only still selling, but still receiving 5* reviews! Simon a verified Amazon purchaser said, 'Enjoyed...very gripping'.

Something for the weekend?

Yet another 5-star review from an Amazon customer for 'A NEW MENACE', thank you so much.
'A truly excellent sequel to By Their Rules written by a very credible author. Roger Price's past life as a Detective Inspector of a major crime squad gives real authority to this gritty novel. I think we all occasionally wish that the main character of this novel, John Burrows and his team were for real! Would the UK be a safer place if they were? Very likely and there lies the popularity of these two novels. I can't wait for more!'
